As a kid, I adored paint by number kits. Watching Bambi come to life with each brush stroke was magical to my 5-year-old imagination. I studied acting in drama school and now I teach and direct in the American theatre. I met the great outsider artist, Sara Morsey while directing and fell in love with her color and flow. She encouraged me to experiment, but it wasn’t until I was locked in a studio apartment during the pandemic that I began painting interiors. Those rude works were my attempt to build a beautiful home if even only on paper. Lately, my color and drawing has grown wilder and more childlike. This collection is the work of 3 years. They are graphite, ink and watercolor. Won’t you consider adopting one of my menagerie??
